On July 22, 2021, Mr. Danny Kay Wiley entered his home of eternal rest. Mr. Wiley was proceeded in death by his father, Mr. Jesse B. Wiley, and siblings, Lattrell Robinson and Jason Wiley.
Mr. Wiley spent his early years surrounded by family. According to his mother, he knew how to get the entire house into an uproar. He spent a great deal of his early years with his Aunt Betty. She was the one person he would listen to and gave the upmost respect!
As a grown man, Mr. Wiley became even more family oriented. He never married, so his mother has always been the leading lady in his life. He made sure that she was always well taken care of. He also had close relationships with his siblings. Gatherings at the family home were always full of love and laughter. Although Mr. Wiley didn’t have children of his own, he took great pride in caring and providing for his great nieces and nephew. He loved his family with every breath he breathed.
Mr. Wiley was very active member of First Baptist Church. He loved standing on his post before his health began to fail. He loved God, his Pastor, and his church family. You could always count on him to say something along the lines of “Go head Whitehead!” Under Pastor Whitehead’s leadership, Mr. Wiley obtained knowledge of the Word and began applying to his everyday life.
Mr. Wiley had a genuine love for everybody he came in contact with. He assisted with community events, and one could always depend on him to offer a helping hand. He never met a stranger and could give you the latest news. He had a few nicknames that truly defined who he was as a person. Some called him “Fox 5” and others called him “The Governor.” Whenever he was present you could count on him to make you laugh and never knew what he might say. He was such a joy to be around and an overall good person.
