Ola Vernell Hayes Fleming

Mrs. Ola Vernell Hayes Fleming age 75 of Gumlog Road, Martin passed away Thursday July 22, 2021 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Albert and Laura Crooks Hayes, she was born December 4, 1945 in Elbert County, Georgia having lived most of the Stephens County. She was employed in Stephens County School System. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and a choir member. She is preceded in death by two sons Jeff Fleming and William Cape.

Survivors include her husband of thirty seven years Jerry Fleming of the home, three sons and daughters-in-law Bob and Donna Cape of Martin, Stephen and Kerrie Fleming of Toccoa and Andy Fleming of Toccoa, three brothers James Hayes of Hartwell, Wayne Hayes of Lavonia, Bobby Hayes of Lavonia, one sister Elizabeth Mathis of Cumming, Georgia, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Terry and Nancy Fleming of Gainesville.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 26, 2021 at 3 P.M. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with the Reverend Bruce McGee officiating. The family will be at the home and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Kevin Fleming, Chris Brogdon, Anthony Haddock, Tommy Voyles, Dennis Brock and Dustin Phillips

Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
