Mary Jackie Carter

Mrs. Mary Jackie Carter, age 70, of Flowery Branch, Georgia passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021. She was born on October 29, 1950 in Hall County to the late John Mauldin Adams, Jr. and the late Alice Higginbotham Adams. She worked as a cashier for several convenient stores and loved spending time with her grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as "Nanny". She was born in Gainesville, Georgia and moved to the New Holland Community when she was 13. She attended New Holland School and was a graduate of East Hall High School. She will always be remembered as a virtuous woman and was always there for her family when they needed her.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Carter of Oakwood; son, Jason Dick (Jennifer Allison) of Gainesville; grandchildren, Ashleigh Allison, and Kaleigh Allison; great-grandchildren, Izaiah, Joanah, Noah, Thomas, Kayden, Layah, Avarie, and Leigh Ann; sister, Gerene Adams Cole; and special aunt, Katherine Adams. In addition, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 6:00 PM at Canaan Baptist Church at 3125 Antioch Campground Road, Gainesville, Georgia. The Rev. Ken Anderson and Brother Jimmy Baker will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the church.
