Stanley Stephens

Stanley Stephens was born January 20, 1957 in Gainesville, GA to Eva Cheeks Stephens and the late Joe W Stephens. The Lord called him home on July 22nd after a brief illness. Stanley attended E E Butler High & Gainesville High School. At E E Butler High he was a member of the Esquires Club. At an early age he joined St Paul United Methodist Church. Everybody called him “Smooth.” Stanley was liked by many. He loved watching the Atlanta Falcons games. He also liked watching old VCR movies & listening to old school jams. He was known for his kindness & generosity throughout his community. He loved money & would loan it out too, but you better make sure you pay it back or else you are going to be served! He was loved by his family & will be truly missed. Stanley leaves to cherish his memories to two sons, Dontrice Stephens, Buford, GA, Taris Stephens, Gainesville, GA, three sisters, Joann Stephens & Mary Edwards, Lithonia, GA, Anna M Collins(Jerry Collins), Gainesville, GA, one brother, Freddie Stephens, Gainesville, GA., six nieces, Paramesha Brawner, Swangela Barlow, Christal Collins, Cherry Stephens, Addlia Edwards & Malesha Scisney, two nephews, Frederick Stephens & Aaron Stephens, & a host of great-nieces & great-great nieces & nephews and plenty of other relatives & friends.
The visitation will be held Thursday July 29th between the hours of 12-8pm at Wimberly Funeral Home. Mr. Stephens' Celebration of Life will be Friday July 30th at the hour of 2pm at Antioch Baptist Church. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
