Mr. James Cicerro "JC" Gilstrap, age 73, of Dahlonega passed away on July 18, 2021. He was born on December 12, 1947 in Lumpkin County to the late Dillard and Martha Hampton Gilstrap. He worked as a masonry and loved to hunt and work on cars. Mr. Gilstrap was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Frances Buice Gilstrap; daughter Tammy Millwood; and sisters Lillie Mae Ferguson, Lois Miller, and Inez Head.
Mr. Gilstrap is survived by his daughter Gayle Emanuel of Winder, Georgia; son James Gilstrap of N. Charleston, South Carolina; brothers Claude Gilstrap of Dahlonega, and Carlton Gilstrap of Flowery Branch; sisters Ruby Gilstrap of Dahlonega, and Opal Thompson of Gainesville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by numerous friends, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem-Jones Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
