Memphis “M.L” Lee Allen

Mr. Memphis ‘M.L” Lee Allen, age 95 of Oakway Drive, Eastanollee passed away Friday July 16, 2021 at his residence.

A son of the late Rufus Lee and Christine Aderholdt Allen, he was born January 6, 1926 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Stephens County. He was retired from LeTourneau- WABCO with thirty years of service. He was a licensed electrician and a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and the Men’s Sunday School Class. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Leeila Land Allen in 2015, one brother Henry Allen and sisters Louise Wood, Sue Rohret and Lena Parnham.

Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Barbara Moss of Roberta, Georgia and Merissa and Tim Donnelly of Smyrna, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law,  Roger and Pat Allen of Eastanollee, Georgia; four grandchildren, Lauren Donnelly, Brandon Allen, Amanda Moss Clark and Elisha Moss Helstrom; five great-grandchildren; brother, Rufus Bernard Allen of Eastanollee, Georgia; sister, Violet Sansone of Atlanta.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 4 P.M. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Ken Danuser and the Reverend John Thomas officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Billy Hallford, Tom Donnelly, Brandon Allen, Doug Aderholdt, Jimmy Miles and Ashley Hayes.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the service time.

Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Memphis “M.L.” Lee Allen.
