Mr. Adam Segars, age 59 of Midway Crossing, Cornelia, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021 at his residence.
A son of the late Jack L. and Lorene Grace Ivester Segars, he was born September 16, 1961 in Jackson County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Habersham County, Georgia. He was a logger with Jack Irvin Logging for 30 years. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Allan, Roger and Joe Dan Segars and Josie Aderholdt.
Survivors include two daughters, Felicia Seabolt and Jennifer Benfield both of Cornelia; girlfriend, Tina King; six grandsons; brothers, Dallas Segars of Nashville, Tennessee, Charles Segars and Wayne Segars both of Toccoa and Bobby Segars of Carnesville; sisters, Edith Richards of Toccoa; Joy Garmon of Elberton, Frances Whitsell of Flowery Branch and Gloria Thompson of Eastanollee;; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 14, 2021, 11 O’clock a.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Roger Elrod officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jack Irvin, Ricky Segars, Trevor Scott, Phillip King, Conor Jordan and Kaden Holbrooks. Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, 9 O’clock a.m. until the service time. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Adam Segars.
