Kenneth Alton “Catfish” Kirksey

Obituary Date: Wednesday, July 7, 2021

Kenneth Alton “Catfish” Kirksey age 74 of Dahlonega entered rest Wednesday July 7, 2021 at the Eastside Medical Center, Snellville with his family by his side.

Catfish was born in Adel, Georgia to the late John & Bertha Young Kirksey. He worked in the heating and air industry all his life having worked at S & S Mechanical, Grady Smith & Roger Gravitt to name a few. He was of the Baptist Faith and was preceded in death by daughter, Angela Morgan; brothers, Jack Kirksey, Buddy Kirksey & Charlie Kirksey.

Survivors include his loving wife, Vicki Kirksey; sons, Richard (Deidre) Morgan, John Kirksey & Carl Kirksey; daughters, Tonya (Brian) Hall, Tammy (Mark Atnip) Morgan, Kimberly (Dustin)Owen & Pepper; Brother, Curtis Kirksey; sister, Mary Helen Kirksey; grandchildren, Joshua, Michael, Ethan, Amanda & Iesha; 1 great grandbaby, Eva; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services honoring Catfish will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday July 11, 2021 at the ward’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Bryant officiating. Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday July 9, 2021 at the funeral home.
