Eunice Elene Carlan

Mrs. Eunice Elene Carlan, age 87, of Dahlonega went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 1, 2021 surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Carlan was born in White County on May 27, 1934, to the late Milton and Rebecca Dillard Kenimer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy Carlan and her daughter Aletha Dockery. Mrs. Carlan was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was born with a nurturing heart that was seen and known by the many children she kept in her community. Mrs. Carlan loved to cook and have family dinners to express her love. Her favorite place outside of her kitchen was IHOP. Mrs. Carlan was a faithful member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter Trudy Sears (Tony), Dahlonega; grandchildren Brandi Anderson (Amy), Hunter Sears (Rebecca), and Quentin Sears (Anna); great-grandchildren Grayson Anderson, Emery Anderson, Ethan Anderson, Gavin Sears, Adalynn Sears, and Allyson Sears; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Solid Rock Baptist. The Rev. Jeff Garner, the Rev. Kevin Holman, and the Rev. Jerry Goss will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
