James Edward "Bug" Lipscomb

Obituary Date: Tuesday, June 29, 2021
James Edward “Bug” Lipscomb was born August 16, 1959 in Gainesville, GA. The son of the late Norene Lyles Lipscomb and Hubert Millsap and grandson of the late Noble and Early Moon Lyles. He was called home on June 29, 2021. He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Gillsville, GA.

Bug enjoyed life and loved working on cars and trucks but also loved cooking, playing cards, movies and being a dejay. He would randomly have cook-offs with members of his family and thus crowned himself the best cook! Bug was a man that loved good conversation and picking on friends and family. He always managed to put a smile on everyone’s face with his ability to make others feel joy he was also a giver. If anyone was in need, Bug would be there. He truly loved his family and friends and especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his older brothers Jalasker Lyles. He leaves to cherish his memory:

1 Daughter Sheena Lejet Lipscomb of Gainesville, GA. 2 grandchildren: A’Nyree and Jayce Lipscomb of Flowery Branch, GA. One brother Doyle Lee Lipscomb, Jr. of Flowery Branch GA. Four sisters: Ruby Wilburn, Beverly Jo Millsap, Malbree Davenport, and Annie Rea Lipscomb all of Gainesville, GA: Six nieces:, Lisa (Jerome) Randolph, Talano (Greg) Bonds, Yolanda Glasper, Jasmine Norea Adams, Mercia Millsap and Shannon Piecre all of Gainesville, GA.Two nephews: Gary Lyles and Kevin Millsap both of Gainesville, GA.: Gary Lyles. A host of great- nieces, nephews, and cousins. As well as a long- time friend Kathleen Mattox.
 
The Celebration of Life will be held Monday July 5th at Wimberly Funeral Home at the hour of 2pm. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
