Bernice Wilkie

Bernice Wilkie, 78, of Dawsonville passed away Monday June 28, 2021 at her residence following a sudden illness.

Born August 27, 1942, to the late Lanier and Lavon Long, Bernice was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.  She was a very devoted Christian and member of Juno Baptist Church.  A devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she was involved in several business adventures alongside her husband.  Bernice was also preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Wilkie, and sister, Frances Perkins.

Surviving are her sons and daughter in law, Brian WIlkie, Preston and Misty Wilkie; brother, Clayton Long, all of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Eli, Sadie, Adley, Makale, Chloe, Achan; other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday July 3, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Juno Baptist Church.  Rev. Tommy Weldy, Rev. Brody Hughes, Rev. Tim Biddy and Rev. Shannon Westbrook will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday July 2 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Juno Baptist Church.
