Mildred Doris Rider

Mildred Doris Rider, age 77, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away quietly at her home on June 22, 2021, following a period of declining health.  Mrs. Rider was of the Baptist faith.  Mildred is survived by her children; James R. Rider, Billy E. Rider, Alan E. Rider, Doug (Sherry) Bozza, Donna G. Rider, “best sweet pea” Shirley; 9 grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Thomas Alan Pruitt, Jerry Bruce Pruitt, Randy Michael (Rachel) Pruitt, Phyllis Marcia Burton, Sandra Harietta Seabolt along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, James Russell Pruitt and Mary Girlie Gillespie; husband, Roy Eugene Rider; brothers, Leroy Pruitt, Russell Pruitt, Charles Pruitt, and Larry Pruitt.

Mildred was a dedicated housewife, nurse and mother who loved her family and her savior. 

A visitation will be held at Dahlonega Funeral Home on Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 4 pm to 8 pm with a funeral service held on Friday, June 25, 2021, in the Dahlonega Funeral Home Chapel at 12 pm with the Reverend Charles Grant.  Interment will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Dahlonega, GA.
