James J. Davis

 

James J. Davis, age 69, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.

Mr. Davis was born on April 19, 1952 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Henry Young Davis, Sr. and Betty Lou Patterson Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harry Nix and Henry Davis, Jr. and sister, Sienna Cook. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. Mr. Davis was employed with AMB Transportation.

Survivors include his loving wife, Maria Davis, of Marietta; sons, Jimmie Davis, of Tyler, TX; Jamie Davis. of Tyler, TX; sisters, Amanda Davis, of Oregon; Camilla Reynolds, of Hayesville, NC; brothers, Rev. Charles H. Davis, of Clarkesville; Noah Davis, of California, and Bobby Watkins.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 25, 2021 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Tim Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
