Danny Pethel

Mr. Danny Pethel of Gainesville, Georgia passed away peacefully on June 22, 2021.

Born on December 23, 1947, Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Austin and Lessie Pethel.

Danny is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Pethel (Joanna); daughter and son-in-law, Krista Martin (Tommy); five grandchildren, Dalton, Jacob and Grant Pethel; Ella and Olivia Martin; sister and brother-in-law, Pat Sisk (Scottye); sister Becky Keith; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Danny would most likely be found in the center of the room telling stories and making everyone laugh. Before Parkinson’s took his mobility, he loved working on antique cars and attending car shows. He would spend most of his free time in his workshop and there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. He will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Matthew Vandegriff will officiate. The family will gather from 1:30 p.m. until service hour at Memorial Park Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox foundation for helping find a cure for Parkinson’s.
