Jean Nalley Coley

Mrs. Jean Nalley Coley, 80, of Gainesville passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021 following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Doug Saxton will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, June 21st from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Born on April 3, 1941 in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Eugene and Margaret McCrackin Nalley. Mrs. Coley received her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia. She was married to the love of her life, Heyward Coley, for 60 years. She was a member of Air Line Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Coley is preceded in death by her husband, Heyward Coley; brother in law, Bill Crowe and niece, Leisa Armour.

Mrs. Coley is survived by her daughter, Neva (Barry) Latty of Gainesville; son, Kevin (Tammy) Coley of Gainesville; grandsons, Brayden Latty, Kreed (Olivia) Coley; granddaughter, Kassie Coley; grandson, Jackson Coley; sisters, Mellie Crowe, Judy (Randall) Little; sister in law, Patricia Puckett and a number of nieces and nephews.
