Ann Rose Ciriello

Obituary Date: Saturday, June 19, 2021

In the early morning hours of June 19, 2021, surrounded by members of her family, Ann Rose Ciriello closed her eyes and took her last breath and peacefully entered the house of the Lord.

Ann was born in New York City, on July 11, 1936, to Jennie DePippo Lombardo and Joseph Lombardo. She loved her family more than anything in the world. She was an outstanding cook, baker, and housekeeper.  She was well known in her family and community for being able to put together amazing meals in no time at all.  If any tablecloth was visible on the table between the serving dishes, people would joke that she must have forgotten something in the kitchen.  She was always the gracious hostess.

Ann is survived by her sons, Salvatore Ciriello, Jr., and his wife, Margaret (Middletown, OH); Christopher Ciriello (Carefree, AZ);  David Ciriello, and his wife, Kimberly (Cleveland, GA); her grandsons, Marc Ciriello, and his wife, Aubrey (South Lebanon, OH);  Ian Ciriello and  Nicholas Ciriello (Hamilton, OH); Thomas Ciriello and Zachary Ciriello (Cleveland, GA); her sister,  Jean Slater (Poughkeepsie, NY); her brother, Donald Lombardo, and his wife, Debbie (Putnam Valley, NY) and her sister-in-law, Carol Lombardo (Suffern, NY); and many, many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her parents, her brother, Joseph Lombardo, her nephews, Joseph Lombardo and Donald Lombardo.

After living in the Westchester County area of New York all of her life, Ann made the big move to northeast Georgia in 2018, to be near her son, David, and his family. She was blessed to be well-cared for by the staff at Laurel Lodge Assisted Living and Memory Care, Cleveland, GA, and by Hospice of NGHS.

A celebration of Life Service is being planned for September 2021, in New York; date and time to be determined.  The family is requesting in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Hospice via NGHS.com/Foundation or Hospice of NGHS Foundation 743 Spring Street, Gainesville, GA 30501, or to a charity of your choice.
