Vivian Frances Payne Brown

Obituary Date: Saturday, June 19, 2021

Vivian Frances Payne Brown, 88, a lifelong resident of Forsyth County passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Luther Moses and Mary Vanessa Hemrick Payne. In addition to her parents, Frances was anxious to see Jesus, her Savior; her husband, Wilson Brown; her boys, George Norman Brown, Ronnie Brown and Byron Timothy Brown; her sister, Wreathy Thompson; and her brothers, L.V. Payne, Frank Payne and Jerry Payne.

 

In recent years, her joy was spending time with family and friends, attending Crossplains Baptist church where she was the oldest lady member. During her more active years, she loved fishing with her family, growing flowers to enrich other people’s happiness and talking on the phone with family and friends. Frances worked several years at the Roswell Pants Factory, enjoying lunch at Feckoury’s with co-workers.

 

Survivors include her daughters-in-law, Alice Morris (Mrs. Norman) Brown, Rebecca Phillips (Mrs. Ronnie) Brown, Valerie Hartwig (Mrs. Timmie) Brown; her grandchildren by Norman, Darren Brown, Evan and Jodi Brown; by Ronnie, Reba and Richie Crooks, Ron and Shannon Brown, Robbie and Brooklyn Brown, Renita and Jeff Guynn; by Timmie, Christina Brown and Thomas Brown; great grandchildren, Harper Jo Brown, Bishop Crooks, Bella Crooks, Catelyn Brown, Emily Brown, Braelyn Walters, Alex Guynn, Alanna Brown; siblings, Sanford Payne, Levi Payne, Dorothy Bennett; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 22, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Purcell and Rev. Tyler Goode officiating. Interment will follow at Crossplains Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cross Plains Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
