Mrs. Mary Frances Sullens, age 87, of Murrayville passed away Friday, June 18, 2021.
Mrs. Sullens was born in Hall County on November 13, 1933 to the late Charlie and Carrie Couch McDonald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herman Sullens; sons Tommy Stephens, and Robert Wayne Peck; and daughter Cheryl Sisk. Mrs. Sullens was one of eleven children born to her parents and she was preceded in death by all but two that survive. She was a loving wife, mother, and "Nanny" to her grandchildren. Mrs. Sullens loved to garden and spend time in her flowers. Her favorite way to tell her family and friends she loved them was making sure they ate well at her table.
Survivors include her children Wanda Stockton, Dahlonega, Teresa and Jerry Deyton, Lisa and Billy Farr, all of Gainesville, and Shane and Tonya Peck, Murrayville; sisters Charlotte Hewell, Homer, and Diane Grizzle (Jimmy), Gainesville; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Deyton will officiate. Interment will follow in Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
