Shirley Richardson Ward

Mrs. Shirley Richardson Ward age 84 of Toccoa passed away Thursday June 17, 2021 at Brickmont Assisted Living in Alpharetta, Georgia.

A daughter of the late Norris and Sara Rice Richardson, she was born December 24, 1936 in Fair Play, South Carolina having lived most of her life in Toccoa. She married Lamar Ward in 1956 and worked for the City of Toccoa for 32 years. She was a member of Eastern Star and Sunnyside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Lamar Ward, sisters Audrey Ayers and Mary Etta Bailey.

Survivors include a daughter Angela Blackwell of Alpharetta, Georgia, grandchildren Austin Blackwell, Garrett Blackwell, Sara (Blackwell) and Trey Brown, brother Ron and Linda Richardson of Somerset, Kentucky.

Cryptside services will be held Monday June 21, 2021 at 1 P.M. at Stephens Memorial Mausoleum with the Reverend Bill Evans officiating.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Austin Blackwell, Garrett Blackwell, Trey Brown, Jake Lichtenwalner and Bill Blackwell.
