Raymond Lee Kent

Raymond Lee Kent, 83 of Gainesville passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center- Gainesville Campus.

Born in Maysville, Georgia, Mr. Kent had lived in Hall County for most of his life.  He was the son of the late Hoke S. and Mattie Kent.  Mr. Kent was retired from Sears with over 35 years of service, after retirement Mr. Kent also worked for North Hall Ace Hardware for a number of years.  He was a graduate of Maysville High School and was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law; Beverly Kent Skelton (Scott); Harriett Kent Williams (Tim); grandchildren; Suzanne Alston (Ike); Taylor Skelton & Jordan Huerta; Bryan Cobb (Sarah); Sarah Williams and Haleigh Williams; great-grandchildren, Owen Cobb and Eliana Cobb;  brothers, Marvin Kent (Doris); Shelton Kent; sisters, Reba Dale, Irene Lance, Laraine Wilson (David).  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Kent is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Camille Brown Kent and a brother, Thomas Edgar Kent.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 21, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Dr. Jerry Gill and Dr. Tyler Smiley will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
