Lucas Andrew McIlwain, age 36, of Hoschton, GA passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021. He is survived by his wife of three years, Ashley Luther McIlwain of Hoschton; son, Walker Paine McIlwain; parents, David and Laurie Power McIlwain; sister, Kaley McIlwain; brothers, David Richard McIlwain, Jr, Adam (Jacqueline) McIlwain, John Jack McIlwain; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kirk Alan and Pamela Ann Luther of Hoschton; and several aunts and uncles. Mr. McIlwain was born on February 6, 1985 in Atlanta, GA. He was a 2004 graduate of Collins Hill High School, and a 2016 graduate of GA Gwinnett College with a Bachelor’s degree. Mr. McIlwain was employed with Rubicon Global Company as a senior accounts manager. He was a member of 12 Stone Church of Hamilton Mill, and he loved baseball and the Braves. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital for Research in memory of Lucas McIlwain. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at 12 Stone Church of Hamilton Mill, 3858 Braselton Hwy, Buford, GA 30519. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 26.
