Peter S. Petrosian

Obituary Date: Wednesday, June 16, 2021

We are saddened to announce the passing of Peter S Petrosian on June 16, 2021 in Cumming, Georgia.

This year, Peter turned 69 years of age and celebrated his 36th wedding anniversary to his wife, Beth (Balise) Petrosian. Peter was the son of George and Alice (Mooradian) Petrosian who passed before him and raised their family in Western New York towns of Niagara Falls, Olean, and Youngstown.

Family was everything to Peter. Besides his wife, Peter leaves behind his son, Sam Petrosian, his wife Carolyn (Shapiro) and young grandson, William James, daughter Kathryn Walton and husband Zack Walton. He was enormously proud of their accomplishments.  In addition, Peter leaves brother Mike Petrosian, his wife Claudia (Adjemian), niece Trisha Petrosian, nephews Michael and Matthew Petrosian and sister-in-law Joan Balise. He is survived by several cousins and their children.

Peter’s life was filled with wonderful memories of celebrating the Armenian culture and enjoyed connecting in a tight-knit Armenian community in New York and around the world.

He began a career in Food Service by studying under Chef Anthony Lentola of the Castle Restaurant in Olean, New York. Petrosian then went on to serve in the US Navy and was proud of his service on the USS Intrepid making life-long friends and feeding hundreds at sea. Post-military, Peter earned a degree in Hospitality from SUNY Alfred.

Peter’s entrepreneurial spirit was evident by his work leading teams for the Marriott Corporation, AFC, Brass Tap, and most recently COO for Island Wing Corporation. Creating exciting food service concepts was his passion. Family and friends often had the pleasure of experiencing his culinary talents as he researched and prepared new menus and concepts. Peter mentored and developed hundreds of food service executives. He will be remembered for his big personality, generous heart, and hospitable nature.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday June 26, 2021 at Ingram Funeral Home.
