Gerald Lamar Smith

Mr. Gerald Lamar Smith, 71, of Gainesville passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral home on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will take place on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 2:00 pm. at Georgia National Cemetery.

Born on September 1, 1949 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late John T. and Bernice Wallace Smith. He was retired from a career in the United States Army.

Mr. Smith is survived by his son and daughter in law, Adam and Renee Garrison of Sarasota, FL; daughter, Kristy Smith of Bartow, FL; daughters and sons in law, Nevada and Casey Allison of Gainesville, Harlie and Jonathan Burnett of Cleveland; sisters, Lavonne Smith of Flowery Branch, Loretta Dotson of Gillsville; 10 grandchildren and a number of other loving relatives.
