Rosa B. O'Shields

Mrs. Rosa B. O’Shields, age 93 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her residence following an extended illness.  

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church with interment to follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.  Reverend Darryl Womack and Reverend Scott Strickland will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm and Saturday, June 12, 2021from 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.     

Mrs. O’Shields was born November 28, 1927 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Andrew Allison and Fronie Grogan Allison.  She was retired from Warren Featherbone where she worked as an Inspector and was a member of Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church.  Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alton E. O’Shields, her brothers, Price Allison, John Allison, Marvin Allison and Leonard Allison, her sister, Roberta Abernathy and son-in-law, Ronnie Robinson.

            Mrs. O’Shields is survived by her daughters, Nancy Robinson, Brenda O’Shields (Jeff Kemp), Deloris O’Shields, all of Gainesville and Elaine (Keith) Miller of Alto, her grandchildren, Rodney & Lisa Robinson, Relynda & Todd Barrett, Rosanne & Robert Hudgins, Paul Conner (Angela Reisling), Laura & Chad Wright, Alton & Jennifer Lee, Jon & Sara Lee, Clint & Angie Wingo, Troy Wingo and Sam & Mia Mendoza, her great-grandchildren, Cortney & Jordan Koshiol, Hillary & Zac Wood, Gage Barrett, Hannah Hudgins, Mallory Barrett (Michael Hussman), Taylor & Isaac Robinson, Brooke & Anthony Robinson, Rylee Robinson, Cameron & Jennifer  Conner, Ashley & Kyle McDonald, Jacob Abernathy, Bailey Wright, Brooke Wright, Dawson Lee, Anna Beth Lee, Katie Lee, Matthew Lee, Gavin Lee, Zoye Wingo, Hudson Wingo, Kiera Wingo, Ethan Wingo, Sophia Mendoza, Penelope Mendoza, Ezra Mendoza and Liam Mendoza, her great-great-grandchildren, Barrett Koshiol, Ava Koshiol, Olivia Koshiol, Madalyn Jane Koshiol, Lilly Rose Wood, Victoria McDonald, Ava McDonald, Luke McDonald, baby girl Connor, Vann Wright, Mason Wright and Rean Wright, her brother & sister-in-law, Dennis & Katie Allison of Gainesivlle and her sisters, Lila Fuller of Dahlonega and Bobbie Parker of Cumming.
