Sarah Elizabeth Carter

Sara Elizabeth Carter age 59 of Gainesville passed away peacefully with her family by her side Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at her residence.

Sara was born March 6, 1962 in Commerce, GA to the late Charlie & Francis Carroll Gunter. She worked a number of years as a CNA. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Gunter, Jerry Lee Gunter, Bobby Lee Gunter & Jewell Gunter.

Survivors include, daughter, Jessica C. (Harry) Peaden; son, Kevin Carter; sister, Diane Slater; brothers, Rickey Gunter & Terry Carroll; grandchildren, Sara Peaden, Harry Peaden,IV, & Jayden Dunavant-Carter. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday June 5, 2021 at the Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening June 4, 2021 at the funeral home and again on Saturday June 5, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
