Thomas Marvin Morgan, age 83, passed away unexpectedly May 28, 2021. He is preceded in death by his wife: Joyce Latham Morgan and his grandson: Brett Morgan.
Thomas is survived by his sons: Brian (Lisa) Morgan of Madison, GA and Bruce (Wendy) Morgan of Commerce, GA; special friend: Dot Willard of Cumming, GA; stepdaughters: Sherry Stamey of Jonesboro, GA and Darlene (Hoyt) Jacobs of Temple, GA; stepson: Chris (Sharon) Jordan of Cumming, GA; grandchildren: Mesha Beck, Lindsay Shiretzki, Gracelynn Morgan, Christopher Jordan, Jennifer Samples, Michael Stamey (Amy), Amber Fralick (Chris), Megan Sotomayer (Xavi), Craig Jacobs (Meghann), and Kyle Jacobs; several great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and musician friends.
Thomas worked at the City of Atlanta Fire Department for almost 30 years. He loved music and died while playing his dobro, one of the loves of his life. He loved hunting, especially deer, mastered carpentry and belonged to Cumming Baptist Church for years.
Thomas’s family will receive friends Wednesday, June 2, 2021, 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home. Thomas’s service will be Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 11:00 am at Cumming Baptist Church followed by his graveside service at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
