Betty Hayes Puckett

Betty Hayes Puckett, age 90, of  Buford, GA passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Hoyt A. Puckett; son, James Puckett.  She is survived by her daughter, Linda and Grady Hendrix, Buford, GA; grandchildren, Tracy (Tracy) Larue, Waller, TX, Julie Puckett, Buford, GA, Joey Puckett, Buford, GA, Dana (Chad) Bruce, Brookhaven, GA;  five great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Carolyn) Hayes, Toccoa, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Mrs. Puckett was born June 27, 1930 in Jefferson County, AL.  She was a graduate of Lawrenceville High school and recently was a Homemaker.  She also had worked for Sears-Roebuck Company as a clerk.  Mrs. Puckett was a longtime member of Harmony Baptist Church, Buford, GA.  She enjoyed sewing and she loved it when she and her husband, Hoyt, used to go camping.  A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 5, 2021 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Satterfield of Harmony Baptist Church officiating.  Interment will follow at Ivy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Buford, GA.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021 at the funeral home.
