Robert Byron Pearch, Jr.

Robert Byron Pearch, Jr., age 78, of Tiger, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.

Mr. Pearch was born in Canton, Ohio on February 16, 1943, to the late Robert Byron Pearch, Sr. and the late Bonnie O'Guinn.  At age twelve, Mr. Pearch's family  moved to Florida.  He attended Colonial High School in Orlando and at age seventeen, he enlisted in the United States Marines. After his discharge from the Marines, he went to work with the Orlando Utilities  and worked with them for thirty five years as a lineman and an electric trouble man and a division metering technician.

Mr. Pearch was also involved in law enforcement work.  He attended Orange County Sheriff's Department Civilian Police Academy and the Orlando Police Department Academy.  Mr. Pearch worked as a civilian patrol officer for the Orlando Police Department for several years and served on the Civilian review board for Orange County, Florida for three years.

He retired and moved to Cleveland, Georgia where he enjoyed hunting, camping activities, riding his motorcycle in the north Georgia mountains, and dancing.  Mr. Pearch loved country line dancing, ballroom, rock and roll, and other types of dancing.

Mr. Pearch attended church for many years at Powers Drive Baptist Church and sang in the church choir for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Carol J. Kimzey, Tiger, Georgia;  daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Renee and Rodney Dickerson, Willow Springs, North Carolina;  step daughter-in-law and step son-in-law, Angela K. and David Smith, Savannah, Georgia ; sons:  Robert Byron Pearch, III, Saint Cloud, Florida and William Scott Pearch, Bluffton, South Carolina;  step-son:  I. Rabun Kimzey, Commerce, Georgia;  sister and brother-in-law:  Pamela and James Morse, Forest City, Florida;  step-sister:  Patricia Hicks, Clearwater, Florida;  brother: Kimothy John Pearch, Saint Cloud, Florida;  grandchildren:  Taylor Dickerson and Taira Dickerson, both from Willow Springs, North Carolina;  step-grandchildren:  Caroline Lewallen, Savannah, Georgia and Kailey Kimzey, Commerce, Georgia;  mother of his children, Billie Sue Pearch, Willow Springs, North Carolina.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, June 12, 2021  at the Yonah Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Terry Rice officiating  Military Honors will be provided by the United States Marine Honor Guard and The Grant-Reeves Honor Guard.

All family and friends should assemble at the graveside by 11:15 am on Saturday.
