Kristen Nicole Mitchell

Kristen Nicole Mitchell, age 23, of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021.

Kristen was born on August 9, 1997, in Milledgeville, GA, to Jim and Tina Leaptrott Mitchell.  She was a waitress at Crossroads Bar and Grill. Kristen was an accomplished athlete at White County High School, graduating in 2015. She loved hiking and the outdoors, and didn’t travel far without her two dogs, Jupiter and Rosa. Kristen was a member of Cleveland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her parents, Jim and Tina Mitchell, Cleveland; brother, Nick Mitchell, Cleveland; paternal grandparents, Ray and Joyce Mitchell; maternal grandparents, Benjie and Mary Leaptrott; aunts and uncles, Tosha and Charles Hendricks, Greg and Maureen Mitchell, Brenda Mitchell, Jerrilynn Mosqueda, and Ginger and Mitchell McBride; cousins, Gabe Hendricks, Sam Hendricks, Annie Mitchell, Katie Mitchell, Tyler Caughey, and Trey Caughey; second cousins, Adalynn Caughey, William Hendricks, Carol Handley and Joe Brandy, and Benjamin Mosqueda.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.  The Rev. Jeff Hutcheson will officiate.  Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
