Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Patricia Ann Tate, age 84, of Gray, Georgia, who passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021. Mrs. Tate was born in Thomaston, Georgia, a daughter to the late Thomas Woodall and the late Willie Sexton Headrick. Mrs. Tate owned a dental office and had attended Peoples Baptist Church in Morrow, Georgia. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tate is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joel Tate Sr., and her sons, Billy Joel Tate Jr. and Thomas Tate.

Survivors include her son, Bobby Tate and his wife Shelley of Jefferson; Grandchildren, Robert Tate Jr. of Bethlehem, Joshua Joel Tate of Gainesville, Billy Joel Tate of Hilton Head and Molly Ann Humphries of Covington; eleven great grandchildren; sisters, Judy Fruwurth and Kelly Buckalew both of Gray, Georgia.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Hillandale Memorial Gardens, 6201 Hillandale Dr, Lithonia, GA 30058.
