James Ralph Moore ,93, a long time resident of Gainesville, Ga passed away Sunday May 23, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Moore was born to the late Ell J. Moore and Clara Hall Moore on July 27, 1937. He lived in Florida then Lilburn, Ga., before settling in Gainesville, Ga. He was a graduate of St. George High School in 1945. Mr. Moore was a veteran and served in the United States Navy. Mr. Moore retired from the Southern Railway and Western Electric. He was a longtime member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 69 years, Barbara Williams Moore, and also his sister, Jean Moore Braddock, brother, JR Moore and brother Donald Moore.
Survivors include his son and daughter in law, Ralph and Robyn Moore of Gainesville, Ga,; son, Michael Moore of Chicago, Ill and daughter , Shawn Moore of Gainesville, Ga. and also a brother, Sidney Moore of Jacksonville, Fla.; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.
There will be a simple graveside service Saturday May 29th at 11a.m. at the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
