William (Bill) John Trataros, 75, of White Plains, NY., formerly of Gainesville, passed away on May 14, 2021. He was born on March 19, 1946 to John and Fanny Trataros in Lemnos, Greece. On November 7, 1987, William married his wife Michelle in Yonkers, NY. William worked as a teacher for the White Plains Public School District for 32 years where he retired in 2003. After his retirement, he ran his real estate company full-time as a businessman. William is predeceased by his parents, John and Fanny Trataros.
He is survived by his wife Michelle; his siblings, Stanley Trataros, Paul Trataros and Athena Vachtsevanos; his four children, Cathy Stubblefield of Saugerties, NY., Nikki Traina of Mahopac, NY., Alexander Trataros of Boston, MA., and Kori Trataros of White Plains, NY.; his four grandchildren, Cassie and Alexandra, Antoine and Tatiana. His four furry kids, Mikey, Zeusie, Oreo, and Wally; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He loved spending time with his family, being a husband, dad, Papou (grandpa), uncle and cousin; he had a passion for cars, the Yankees and Lemnos, Greece; and enjoyed spending his time watching cowboy movies, singing, dancing, and swimming.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery.
