Alice’ Quillian Head

Strickland Funeral Home announces funeral services for Alice’ Quillian Head of Clermont, Georgia. Mrs. Head was born Feb. 27, 1933, and passed away May 23, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving girls.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Clermont, Ga. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Jeremy Noffsinger and the Rev. Jimmy Moor will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 26. 2021, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Head is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Fred Fussell of Sautee, Vicki and Ricky Beggs of Hayesville, NC., Carol Ann and Tim Attaway of Clermont and Sue Sharp of Bristol, VA.

Grandchildren and spouses, Christy and Walt Helms of Marietta, Brad and Erin Fussell of Clermont, Will Beggs of Casper, Wy., Morgan and Drew Griffin of Macon, Mitch and Courtney Attaway of Cleveland, Jake Beggs of Hayesville, NC., Bret Sharp of Bristol, Va.; and Katy Sharp of Atlanta.

Great grandchildren, Alex Helms and Grant Helms of Marietta, Kyle, Ava Kate and Olivia  Griffin of Macon, Benjamin and Mary Kate Fussell, Hudson and Maggie Grace Attaway of   Cleveland. Also surviving is Mrs. Head's sister, Carol Quillian of Gainesville.

Mrs. Head was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Rogers Head: parents, John and Ruth Quillian; brothers John Quillian, Jimmy Quillian and Harold Quillian; sisters Mary Sally Wellborn and Fannie Ruth Satterfield; son-in-law Bob Sharp; and grandson Bucky Beggs. 

Mrs. Head was a strong lady and positively influenced her family, friends, and others in the community with her kind spirit and giving ways.

The Head family would like to thank all the wonderful family, friends, and neighbors for their many expressions of support during the last few years.  We especially would like to thank special caregivers, Evelyn Pilcher and Penny Hudson who helped us through this time.
