On Thursday, May 20, 2021, my brother Dwayne Allan Anthony passed from this life.
Surviving him are his loving son, Matthew Dwayne Anthony, age 16; sister, Cynthia Timms and brother-law-law, John Timms, whom he resided with the last 14 years; in addition, he leaves behind his brothers, Mike Anthony and wife Renita of Watkinsville, GA, Marvin Anthony and wife Penny Anthony; half-sister, Sandra Dean, all of Zebulon, GA; uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive. Mr. Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Olive A. Anthony, his mother, Jacqueline Luckey, and brother, Mark Allan Anthony.
My brother loved life and people. He had a huge heart and lots of compassion for those around him in need. Most importantly, he was a Christian and shared his love and testimony with others. He loved laughing, joking, and talking about the Lord. He was a giver and loved his son more than words can express. They loved fishing, hunting, and watching movies together. He was proud of being a CDL driver and told us many stories about his many travels in the United States and Canada. In his spare time, he loved selling peanuts and produce, helping with animals on a small farm, and always loved a home cooked meal. Dwayne turned 51 this past December. He endured many medical challenges but was thankful for each day God gave him.
A celebration of life and a graveside service will be planned at a later time by the family.
In lieu of flowers, gifts or donations for his son, Matthew, would be appreciated. Please send to P.O. Box 3082, Cleveland, GA 30528.
