It is with great sadness that the family of Gale F. Linster announces his passing after a brief illness at the age of 86. Gale is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jane (Tessier), his son Ric (Ann), his stepchildren David French (Elizabeth) and Sarah French (Bill Druitt). Gale will also be fondly remembered by 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren
Gale was born August 13, 1934, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Mahx and Helen Johns Linster. Gale spent his early years in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As an early teen his family relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. Gale was a proud graduate of Auburn University. After graduating he joined his father’s business, MFL, Inc., which he went on to run successfully for over 38 years.
One of the accomplishments of which Gale was most proud was his mentoring of small businesses through his involvement with the SCORE organization. He served as Chairman of the Baton Rouge chapter of SCORE from 2004-2006.
Gale loved to spend time with friends and family, and always enjoyed hosting gatherings with them. We share many happy memories of these events.
Gale was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather; successful businessman; car and boat enthusiast.
