Glenda Geraldine Carder

Mrs. Glenda Geraldine Carder age 89 of New Holland, Ga passed away on Wednesday May 19, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.          

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday May 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment tom follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Lyman Caldwell, Reverend Lance Fuller and Reverend Dalton Delozier will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday May 21, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Glenda was born on December 25, 1931 in Winder, Georgia to the late John Ward and Janie Gilreath Ward. She was retired from Warren Featherbone and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Dahlonega, Ga. Glenda is preceded in death by her parents.      

Mrs. Carder is survived by her husband of 67 years, Joseph Carder of New Holland, daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Bobby Welch of Gainesville, grandson and wife, Michael Welch and Casey Welch of Clermont, grand-daughter and husband, Jennifer Whisnant and Jason Whisnant of Clermont, great-grandchildren, Brittany Martin, Kelsey Welch, Austin Welch, Landen Welch, C.J. Whisnant, Abby Whisnant, 4 great great-grandchildren, sister, Elease Burnett of Dahlonega, and sister, Ella Vee Dyer of Dahlonega, and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
