Lesa Ann Nash

Obituary Date: Tuesday, May 18, 2021
Nash, Lesa Ann, 62, of Chepachet, RI, passed away May 11th at her home on the lake after a 5 year battle with cancer of which she fought with unwavering strength, hope, grace, dignity and the will to survive till the very end. She was born May 27, 1958, to Cecil R. and Lois V. (Todd) Nash in Alabama. Lesa graduated from Johnson High School in Oakwood, Ga in 1976. From there she attended Young Harris College on a Scholarship in Fine Arts, she furthered her studies by attending classes through the University of Georgia. Lesa moved to Rhode Island in the mid 1980’s, where she made her home for the remainder of her life.

Lesa worked as a Graphic Artist while enjoying her free time on her boat on the lake at which she lived and loved so dearly. Her other favorite pastimes were sailing, rafting, hiking, kayaking, quilting, painting, and enjoying her walks throughout her neighborhood where she made many friends. Lesa will be remembered by everyone as a woman with an aura of love, caring and kindness.

She is survived by her mother Lois, of Gainesville, GA, brother Stanley Nash of Gainesville, GA, sister and brother-in-law Sherry and Steve Vinson of Clermont, GA.aq Sister-in-law Melissa Nash of Jefferson, GA, nephew Levi (Jessica) Nash of Dahlonega, GA, nieces Alexia Stephens of Clermont, Ashley (Taylor) Jones, of Gainesville, Brittany (Justin) Roberts of Commerce and Breanna (Shawn) Roberts of Commerce. Many other family members and a bountiful number of friends from all over the United States. She was preceded in death by her father Cecil of Gainesville, GA and brother Brent Nash of Jefferson, GA.

Lesa’s services were entrusted to the Winfield and Sons Funeral Home in Scituate, RI.  A memorial of her life will be held at a later date in Georgia and Rhode Island.

Lesa touched many in her lifetime and will be cherished and missed by all immensely.
