Harold Wayne Story

Harold Wayne Story, age 82 years old of Dahlonega, GA.  Passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021 following a brief illness.  Mr. Story was born on November 16, 1938, in Norcross, GA.  He was a 1956 graduate of Lilburn High School.  He was a proud Veteran of the United States Airforce.  Mr. Story was a Master Electrician and a member of IBEW, Local Union 613, with over 55 years of service.  He was also a business owner, and a Construction Company Contractor.  After his retirement, Wayne and his wife Ann were active in helping to build churches in Mexico, Belize, and Central America.  They are now able to help cross cultural workers with support for their own needs.

Mr. Story was preceded in death by his parents, Robert R. Story Sr. and Annie Marie Burruss Story and his youngest brother, Clyde Lee Story. 

Mr. Story is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ann Medlock Story, of Dahlonega, GA.; children Katherine Ann Story-Lang, (Stephen), of McDonough GA, Mark Wayne Story, (Sheila) of Dahlonega, GA., and Phillip Harold Story (Davina), of Palmetto, GA.; grandchildren, Jacob Wayne Story, Ashleigh Lauren Story, Austin Heath Story, Robert Aristo W. Owens (Jackie), Alice Christina Thompson, John Paul Lennox Saling; and six great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles Edward Story, (His Special Friend Anne Fausett) of Sandy Springs, GA. and Robert R. Story, Jr. (Sandra) of Hartwell, GA. Numerous other relatives also survive.

Mr. Story loved get togethers, especially when the family would come together to visit.  Anytime he and his brothers would get together, there was sure to be a Rook game.

Funeral Service will be held Monday May 10, 2021 at 3:00pm at The Chapel of Dahlonega Funeral home. Family will receive friends on Monday May 10, 2021 from 1:00pm until the time of service. Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery in Cleveland, GA. 30528
