Kacy Lisska, age 88, of Cumming, Georgia passed away peacefully on May 3rd, 2021 with her beloved husband of 68 years, Dave by her side. Kacy was born on August 29, 1932 in Wooster, Ohio to the late Cyril and Mary (Little) Coles. Kacy was extremely proud of her Irish heritage.
Life to Kacy was family as she was blessed with 7 children, 17 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren. She is directly survived by her children Andrew Lisska (Kate), Colleen Folden (Pete), Karen Pettit (Jeff), Janet Crowers (John), Daniel Lisska (Rebecca), Carol Burns (Bob), Tracy Peterson (Tom), and her niece Mary Aranda (Mike).
Dave’s work at General Motors brought Kacy and Dave from Ohio to Atlanta in the mid 60’s. Despite her large family of 7 children, family friends were always welcome at the dinner table and could look forward to enjoying Kacy’s wonderful cooking. She enjoyed going to Lake Lanier with family and friends when her children were young, splashing and cooling off at Rita’s Island. She loved hosting holiday get togethers at her house. Every Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter there might be as many as 50 friends and family who would come to Dave and Kacy’s house. No one ever left hungry as she made sure there was enough to feed all.
Kacy enjoyed weddings and blissfully danced away the night. Baptisms were equally important as she knew the best start for a baby was loving parents and the blessings of the Lord. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, and shopping. In her later years, she and Dave enjoyed many trips together as both enjoyed seeing the world. Kacy always had a smile on her face as she welcomed friends and strangers alike. No doubt she is smiling today as she is greeted in heaven.
