Y.D. Helton

Y.D. Helton, age 87, of Lavonia, passed away at his home Thursday, April 29, 2021. 

Born January 29, 1934 in Clermont, Ga. he was the son of the late John and Buela Helton.

He was married to Mildred Helton, who passed away in 2015 after 32 years of marriage. He is survived by five children: Roger Helton, Joyce Stanley, Paula Helton, Joseph Helton and Tina Honsa; three stepchildren: Annette Holland, Lisa Standridge and Kellie Jones; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends Monday, May 3, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home in Gainesville, Ga. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Wahoo Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.
