Gennie Nerea King Barrett

Mrs. Gennie Nerea King Barrett, age 61 of Nicholson passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at her residence.  Mrs. Barrett was born in Royston to the late, Memphis Tennessee and Gennie Louise Bannister King.  Mrs. Barrett was a homemaker.

Mrs. Barrett is survived by her husband, David Junior Barrett; daughters, Christy Brooks of Nicholson, Erica Seabolt of Nicholson, Heather Carroll of Commerce, Amy Barrett of Cornelia, and Felicia Olizerio of Nicholson; son, David King of Commerce; brothers, Jimmy King of Athens and Woodrow King of Royston; sisters, Becky Blackwell of Athens, JoAnn King of Athens and Hazel Fleming of South Carolina; and twelve grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, May 2 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Patsy Sherwood officiating.  Interment will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 4 to 7 PM.
