James Regis Lewallen, age 78 of Baldwin, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021.
Born on May 23, 1942 in the Hollingsworth Community of Banks County, Georgia he was a son of the late James Floyd Lewallen and Nora Lawrence Lewallen. Mr. Lewallen was a poultry farmer. He enjoyed gardening and carving especially dough bowls. Mr. Lewallen was a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 44 years.
Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Brenda Smith Lewallen of Baldwin; son and daughter-in-law, Jamie & Rhonda Lewallen of Baldwin; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda & Stacey Rowland of Baldwin; grandchildren, Carl Lewallen, Cory Rowland, Dillin Rowland, Emily Lewallen and Jessi Lewallen; great-grandchildren, Greigh Rowland and Charleston Rowland; brother and sister-in-law, Edward & Shirley Lewallen of Shady Dale; sister, Averene Rigsby of Texas; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Terrell Simmons and Elder Charles Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Elder Chris Segars officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
