It Is with great sadness that the family of Jimmy A. Teasley III announces his passing on April 28,2021. Born on November 26, 1944, Jimmy grew up in Hartwell Georgia where he was baptized at First Baptist Church of Hartwell. Jimmy graduated from Hart County High School. Jimmy enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country during the Vietnam War. Jimmy was one of the most caring, giving, and lovable person. Jimmy never met a stranger, if you ever had the pleasure to meet Jimmy, you know what kind of special person he was.
Jimmy was a man that loved his family, Jennifer, Tiffany, Eva Jo, his son in laws John Payne, Dr. Brian Berman and of course his three grandchildren Logan Berman, Chaz “Hot Rod” Payne and Colby “Goobie” Payne. Jimmy enjoyed all sports, gardening, being on the lake and especially watching football and racing with his grandsons. Above all he LOVED being with his family, which he adored. Jimmy exemplified what it meant to “Live Life to the Fullest”
Jimmy is preceded in death by his father Jimmy A. Teasley II, his mother Ella Cate Etheridge, his step father Willie Etheridge and sister Etta Mae Craft.
Survivors include daughter Tiffany Berman and son in law Dr. Brian Berman of Duluth Ga., daughter Jennifer Payne and son in law John Payne of Dawsonville, Ga. Grandchildren Logan Berman, Chaz “Hot Rod” Payne, and Colby “Goobie” Payne. Brother Herman Teasley and wife Marie of Hartwell, Ga. Brother Edward Etheridge and wife Peggy of Hartwell, Ga. and several nieces and nephews.
There will not be a funeral service per Jimmy’s wishes. We will however, have a celebration of life party and scattering of ashes on the lake again at the direct request of Jimmy and would love for all to join in on the celebration. We will make the announcement at a later date when we will celebrate the most beloved Daddy Jimmy A. Teasley III.
