Donnie Clyde Anderson

Donnie Clyde Anderson, 67 of Dawsonville passed away Monday April 26, 2021 following a period of declining health.

Born May 15, 1953, Donnie was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.  For several years he worked as a truck driver alongside his brother at Anderson Trucking.  A talented carpenter, he also enjoyed working on cars and always lived his life to the fullest.  Donnie was preceded in death by his father, Gene Anderson; mother, Kathleen Goswick; dad, David Goswick; brothers-in-law, Rex Sexton, Jimmy “Cat” Castleberry, Tim Byrd.

Surviving are his children, Sharon (Ryan) Satterfield, Murrayville, Edward “Little Man” Anderson, Dawsonville, Penny Anderson, Cumming, Jenny Phillips, Dawsonville; sisters and brother-in-law, Debbie Anderson Sexton, Karen Goswick Castleberry, Denise Goswick (Carroll) Jennings, Janet Byrd; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie (Kim) Anderson, Ricky (Dianne) Goswick, Randy Goswick, all of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Katie (Austin), Rylee, Jesse, Emma, Buddy, Clara, Sophia; special friend, Emily Cheek, Gainesville; other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 1, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Paul Bagley will officiate.  Interment will follow at Dawsonville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday April 30 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help offset final expenses.
