Julius Jackson “Ted” Lovell, age 82 of Clarkesville, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.
Born in the Batesville Community, Clarkesville, Georgia on April 20, 1939, he was a son of the late Carl, Sr. & Nancy Jane Benfield Lovell. Ted was retired from Fieldale Farms Corporation with many years of dedicated service. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors and hunting. Ted was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a member and Deacon of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Clarkesville.
In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his first wife, Gail Martin Lovell, 1 grandchild, brothers, Robert Lee Lovell & Carl Lovell, Jr., sisters, Lou Belle Lovell, Betty Barnes, & Janie Lovell; sons-in-law, Paul Beck & Ricky Church.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Marie Nichols Lovell of Clarkesville, GA; sons & daughter-in-law, Bobby Lovell of Clarkesville, GA; Brian & Misty Lovell of Mt. Airy, GA; step-sons & daughters-in-law, Dan & Juanita Welborn of Clarkesville, GA; Ron & Johnette Welborn of Baldwin, GA; step-daughters, Carol Beck & Nancy Church both of Clarkesville, GA; sister & brother-in-law, Effie Carolyn & Ralph Wilbanks of Mt. Airy, GA.; 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives, & a host of friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Hillside Memorial Chapel in Clarkesville with Rev. Donald Grizzle & Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Interment will follow in the Rocky Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kyle Watts officiating at the graveside.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour on Thursday.
