Carl Leonard Walker

Mr. Carl Leonard Walker, age 68, of Cleveland, formerly of Bremen, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021. 

Carl was born in Greensboro, NC on March 26, 1953 to the late Coy Lee and Mattie Irene Everidge Walker. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Hoyt Walker and Bennie Weaver, and sister Brenda Walker. Carl served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. After his service he worked for many years with Mead Manufacturing as a machinist. Carl was an airplane pilot and he loved airplanes of all kinds. His heart beat with nature, loving all of God's creatures, and he believed they all deserved to live. Carl especially had a love for music. His favorite pastime was taking a car ride and listening to some classic rock or songs with meaning and life. 

Survivors include his siblings Judy Pless, Cleveland, Charles Weaver (Nancy), Franklin Weaver (Barbara), all of Buchanan, Jimmy Walker (Jane), Alabaster, AL, Danny Walker (Pam), Vickie Armbrister, all of Woodstock, and Robin Walker (Connie), Bremen; sister-in-law Jesse Lee, Buchanan; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

A memorial service is scheduled for 12:00 PM Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate. The family will gather at the funeral home one hour before the service to receive friends.
