John Phillip Burroughs of Gainesville passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021, at the age of 37.
He is survived by his mother, Jean Burroughs, father, David Burroughs (Margie), of Gainesville and sister, Kate Burroughs, of Atlanta. In addition to extended family, he leaves behind many dear friends.
John was a lifelong outdoorsman often spending time tying his own flies and fishing on Lake Lanier and many rivers out west. John was a proud graduate of Gainesville High School, Furman University and Warnell School of Forestry & Natural Resources of The University of Georgia.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday April 23, at 11 a.m. at Gainesville First United Methodist Church, Lakeside.
