Curtis Ray Wilson

Mr. Curtis Ray Wilson, 64, of Tignall Ga, formerly of Gainesville passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Mr. Jerry Ray will officiate. Interment will follow in Wauka Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 20 and Wednesday April 21, 2021    from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on October 24, 1956, in Dahlonega, he was the son of Jack Wilson and the late Kathleen Evans Wilson. Mr. Wilson was retired from Stork Marel Poultry where he was a service technician. Mr. Wilson was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by brother, Ricky Lee Wilson; father, Jeffie Lemley; father in law and mother in law, Rev. Charlie and Willie Mae Loggins.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 47 years, Shirley Wilson of Tignall; son and fiancé, Jason Wilson and Claudia Darnell of Tignall; son and daughter in law, Duston Wilson and Melissa Ledford Wilson of Gainesville; grandchildren, Gavin Wilson, Malia Wilson, Hardin Wilson, Waylon Wilson; brother, Tim Wilson (Darlene) of Blairsville; sister, Karen Wilson (Kevin) of Clermont; beloved pets, Duke and Daisy, Moma Kat, Miss B. and a number of loving relatives.
