Mrs. Linda Kay Rider, 62, of Flowery Branch, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at her residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Clint Fair will officiate. Interment will follow in High Tower Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, April 19th from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday until the service hour.
Born on May 15, 1958, in Clarkesville, GA, she was the daughter of Etta Dyer Fair and the late Cecil Fair. She was a homemaker who loved caring for her family. Mrs. Rider was a member of Browns Chapel. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rider is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rider; daughter, Buffie Phagan; granddaughter, Autumn Holton and brothers, Dennis and Randy Fair.
Mrs. Rider is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Becky and Michael Shubert of Gainesville, Cheri and Jeremy Hall of Dahlonega; Daughter, Nicole Rider of Oakwood; daughter and fiancé, Amanda Rider and Randal Lindsay of Flowery Branch; sons and daughters in law, Wayne and Angie Rider of Gainesville, Jody and Denise Rider of Gainesville; daughter, Sandra Rumsey of Ellijay; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; mother Etta Fair of Gainesville; sisters and brothers in law; Janice and David Campbell of Gainesville, Judy and Chester Loggins of Alto and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a mother to many more.
