Mr. Denver Woodrow Justus, Jr. 76, of Gainesville passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Rick Maeser will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Born in Clarke County, on August 5, 1944, he was the son of the late Denver W. Justus, Sr. and the late Lessie George Gaines Justus. He was the owner, operator of the Wagon Wheel Package Store. Mr. Justus was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Justus is preceded in death by his brother in law, Jerry Walls.
Mr. Justus is survived by his wife, Sonya Justus of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Denver Scott and Dawn Justus of Gainesville and their children, Hudson and Layton Justus; daughter and son in law, Elizabeth Jean and Daniel Thompson of Savannah, GA and their children, Garrett and Knox Thompson; son, J. Lawrence Barrett of VA; sister, Barbara Walls of Clermont; nieces, Kim Powell (Mark) of Gainesville, Trinity Senter (Joey) of Clermont, Leslie Bailey of Kannapolis, NC and a number of great nieces and great nephews.
